OMAHGOD HOMESTUCK IS LIKE THIS THING AND HUSSIE AND TROLLS AND SHIPPING AND IF YOU HATE IT YOU'RE EVIL SATAN PEOPLE AND THE FEELS AND- *cough* Well, I guess The Website is a good place to start for just reading it. As for explaining it? Very difficult to do. Oh, what a convoluted web has been woven. The first Act (Acts as in basically chapters) can be boring for some (read: many), but if you can get to the culmination of that, you'll hopefully see why people love it so much. If not, well, just carry on with your life as before. i'd like to say the first act is not boring at all and anyone who says it is oughta be slapped upside the head with john's adorable little antics it introduces a lot of the elements in homestuck and i personally think it's really funny umu but i guess it's really up to you to decide whether or not it's funny, and if it ain't your thing, it ain't your thing. as long as y'all don't go leaping on others for liking hamsteak, we good "for some (read: many)" I also enjoyed it, after my sixth try. I just needed to get into the right mindset, I guess? But most people I talk to go on about how it was quite a hurdle to get through the First Act, so I thought I'd go with what seemed to be the more common opinion.

The first act isn't terribly long, it's funny in its own way, but the writing style has progressed and changed a lot, so I can see why people would not like it compared to the present act's writing.

Ahhhh! I love Homestuck! It's such a great webcomic. I'm caught up right now. I wonder when the hiatus is going to end.

Probably not until the end of summer.

Yeah, we've probably got a while to wait. I wouldn't doubt it if it takes longer than that in fact.

The best description we got from Hussie was "months". YEAH SPECIFIC AS HELL I find the ambiguity alluring. If I were given a specific date—or worse, an approximate date—I'd be desperately waiting for that date to come, and ruin my life. Impatience at an all-time high. With this unspecificity, however, I can completely forget about reading Homestuck, and when it reactivates, it will merely be a happy surprise to be enjoyed anew. Can't worry about something that doesn't exist, right?

Man I don't wanna forget about Homestuck, but with the hiatus that seems to be happening a lot, my attention has gone quite literally to Fanpro, Dangle Rompers, and some DS games (Fire Emblem Awakening and soon to be AC: New Leaf).
I hope whatever kind of update Hussie does for when he gets back is a flash, but lots of pages would be nice too.
